This is the final post for me... [Jul. 29th, 2007|03:54 am]
Seriously. I didn't get any sleep for 40 hours the night before last, and I'm just off of a case of insomnia. I really need to get some sleep. I'm dropping this blog. It's been fun, but I don't have anything to blog about, and I don't have the will to continue writing for this long. Tonight, I'm just not feeling it. Read my personal LJ, [info]micro_trash.

Everybody lets me down. [Jul. 29th, 2007|03:30 am]
So, The Scribbling Ninja didn't do the sketch of the Green Lantern wearing Converse for me. I didn't really expect him to, anyway. It's 3:30AM over here, and I'm still about as tired as I was at 11:00PM. Surprisingly, Blogathon hasn't posted a topic for us to write about, so I'm at a loss for words right now, but not in a romantic way. I don't think I know you well enough. I'm getting paranoid about now because of my cell phone. Me and Amber have been talking on it for the past two hours or so. Amber is probably going to bed now. I think I'm running out of free minutes on my cell phone. My parents are going to kill me if I go over the minutes.

Collections. [Jul. 29th, 2007|03:00 am]
Once again, Blogathon has posted another topic for us to ponder. This time, they're wondering what we people collect. I, myself, collect comic books, especially Batman and Green Lantern comics. I recently bought the first twenty comics that the Green Lantern was ever in, and I'm glad to be adding that to my collection. I used to collect action figures, but I sold them all. In addition to my comic book collection, I collect Pink Floyd artwork. Speaking of the Green Lantern...I wonder if the Scribbling Ninja is done with my sketch yet.

What's in a name? [Jul. 29th, 2007|02:00 am]
Because apparently, Blogathon can sense that some bloggers are getting bored and are not creative at this hour, they keep posting new topics for bloggers to write about. Their current topic is "Why did you choose your blog name?". My blog's name is "Read a Book.". I chose it because the charity I am donating to is the First Book charity. The First Book charity uses the money for books to give to children who are in foster homes. I also chose it, because instead of reading this you ought to be reading a book. I'm being a hypocrite, of course. Maybe I should be reading a book instead of writing this blog.

Urban legend. [Jul. 29th, 2007|01:30 am]
The Blogathon topic for bloggers right now is "What's your favorite urban legend?". It's kind of hard to choose. I browse around on Snopes.com a lot, so I know almost every mainstream urban legend. Still, I have to figure that my favorite urban legend would have to be that the hoverboards in Back To The Future II were real. I mean, honestly. Why would anyone think Hasbro or Mattel were designing hover boards? Does anybody consider science when they choose to believe something?

I'm cracking. [Jul. 29th, 2007|01:00 am]
Eugh. I'm starting to crack under the pressure of updating this thing. If I didn't have to, I'd be out like a light by now. It turns out, those three little hot dogs were being rude, because they tasted god awful. I took a bite out of one, and the bun was so stale I think I cracked a tooth. At least I had a "fun-sized" Butter Finger to go with it. I wasted everything in the Lunchable pack, except for the Butter Finger. I threw away the mustard, hot dogs and ketchup, and the perfectly good fruit juice. I get paranoid when I see those CapriSun things. I remember I would always poke a whole through the back of them, and now I'm afraid to drink them.

A quick one. [Jul. 29th, 2007|12:30 am]
I just took a really quick, cold shower, and it really does make you feel more awake. But, beware. You're teeth will chatter for a little while. I was scared that I was going to break off my fake teeth. Remember how I was talking about being a jerk? Well...I'm doing it right now on the phone with Amber. I'm sorry, Amber. I love you. (ahem) I reached my goal of 24 sponsors! I don't exactly know how much money I raised for my charity, but I'm sure it was a lot. Keep the donations coming! Is it weird that I've never eaten a Lunchable in my life before tonight? I've got three midget sized hot dogs sitting in the micro wave that are screaming "EAT ME!", but in a very nice way. They aren't being rude at all. How come everything in a Lunchable is so tiny? Tiny Butter Finger, tiny hot dogs, but they have a huge ketchup packet.

I Will Survive [Jul. 29th, 2007|12:00 am]
The topic that the Blogathon has given us to blog about is "Tips For Surviving the Blogathon". What I've been doing is just reading, dancing, singing, and just getting active. I've also been eating a lot. I wouldn't eat too much, because then you might get fat. Drink enough that you have to go to the bathroom often. You could take quick cold showers, but I haven't tried that. I'm going to whenever I get done posting this. I wouldn't get in a place that's too comfortable, because you'll want to lay there and take a nap. It's fine to take naps, but get a timer to wake you up. Also, don't get angry at your blog. Whenever I posted this, it didn't go through the first time, so I had to rewrite it. I didn't get too mad, I just yelled an obscenity into the air.

I met my sponsorship goal. Thank you.

Signs of sleep. [Jul. 28th, 2007|11:30 pm]
I'm not incredibly tired, but I am getting a little bit drowsy. I'm tired enough that I could lay down and take a nap, but not go to sleep deeply. I've been reading Survivor to keep me awake. I really want to write a screen play for that. I think Chuck Palahniuk writes his novels so that they can directly be made into movies. They just seem so perfect for the silver screen. It's not like other books that are just blah. You know, the kind of books you see on sell at the Dollar General for 50 cents that have Fabio on the cover. So far, going to the bathroom hasn't been an issue. I'm fairing out pretty well on eating, too. I need to eat that mini-hot dog Lunchable later on, but I'm not hungry. I hope I can finish that book by the end of the 'thon, too.

Mr. Nice Guy [Jul. 28th, 2007|11:00 pm]
I asked myself the question, "What's the nicest thing I've ever done for another person?". This isn't an easy thing to answer. I'm not a generally nice person. If I don't know you, I don't necessarily like you. Seriously, get out of my face if I don't know you. Chances are, the reason why we're not friends is because you suck. But, the nicest thing that I've ever done for another person is...buy them a coffee? See, I'm terrible. Me and Amber were hanging out in a mini-coffee shop that's in a bookstore, and I bought her a coffee so she didn't have to get her money out. I really need to be nicer to people, if that's the only thing I can come up with. I wonder how many other people think I'm a jerk. I'm nicer online, though. I'll send you a link for free!

Do I have a subject? [Jul. 28th, 2007|10:30 pm]
Finding something to post about on the half hour, every half hour, is getting really hard. It's not even midnight yet, and I'm suffering terrible writers block. This is probably the worst entry I've written so far. You shouldn't have even read it. I'm not dropping this blog, no way in hell. Even after I get those 24 sponsors, I'm still truckin'. I'll come up with something to post, but this one was just a waste of time, and a way to fulfill a commitment. I guess it worked.

The smooth and holy lizards. [Jul. 28th, 2007|10:00 pm]
My e-buddy [info]nea_to (real name Danielle) has two lizards. She recently bought the leopard lizard. The spotted one's name is Rico Suave, and the green one is named Ghandi. Click the links to see pictures: Rico, Ghandi,  and one more of Ghandi, 'cause he's holy and stuff. You should totally check out her LJ (but it's friends only, so you add her!).

My first memory [Jul. 28th, 2007|09:30 pm]
My first memory is from when I was five years old. I stayed at my grandparent's house a lot. I remember me and my grandpa were staying up late at night, watching TV (I can't remember the show). I told him that there were five letters in my name, and that I was five years old. The house was little, and as soon as you walked in, you were in the kitchen. I know that five years old is a little bit late for a first memory. Amber's first memory was from when she was about a year old, and then I read some people who had their first memory when they were infants! I didn't even know your brain stored information that early. I'm not stupid, and I remember everything now, just ask Amber. She tries to tell me stuff, and I finish her story before she does. She likes to repeat things, but it's just great hearing her talk.

I give up. [Jul. 28th, 2007|09:00 pm]
On my shoes, of course. The laces were getting on my nerves, and they were too loose, and I couldn't find a place to put my laces, so I'm just lacing them up in the classic way. This always seems to happen whenever I try to do something with my shoes. I always end up just making it the way it was. Ok, so I've gone 12 hours into this thing, and I feel great. If I don't get the 24 sponsors, it'll only be because of bad luck. 12 more hours to go!

Really annoying. [Jul. 28th, 2007|08:30 pm]
God...I'm still working on my shoes. I'm still trying to figure out how to lace them at the top without tying them, and it's not working out too well. Things haven't changed much since the last post. In case you're wondering, I wear Chuck Taylor All-Star shoes. They're the most comfortable. I've outlawed them twice in my life, but I've always came back to them. I used to wear high tops religiously, but now I wear low tops. I figured that the low tops don't look as goofy if I want to wear them with shorts. I look like a kid from the Sandlot if I wear them with shorts. The goofy factor is raised to red when I wear extra high socks with hi-tops.

This is getting annoying. [Jul. 28th, 2007|08:00 pm]
I'm still working on my shoes. I'm at the top eyelet, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it so I don't have to tie my shoe when I put it on. When I do tie it, the laces are hanging down like monkey arms. I'm looking at pictures of some Converse with the laces straight across, and all I can see are laces that aren't tied! Agh, nothing is helping me. I'm getting really close to the 24 sponsor goal (and Amber said I couldn't do it). I haven't even began to listen to my iPod yet. I'm saving that until it gets really late, and I'm about to fall asleep. I have some really fast tempo, old school punk rock to keep me awake. It works better than coffee! I might have to take quick cold showers like Amber told me to. I don't know exactly how that works. I've never tried it before. The only thing I'm worried about is not getting out of the shower in time to post again. I still haven't set up voice posting. I probably won't set up voice posting until I reach my goal. Actually, I probably won't even set it up. My shoelaces are getting on my nerves. I like my shoes to feel loose, but not too loose. I know I don't want my laces to be in the classic style, because they get all tangly and I don't like that. It makes it look ugly and the laces don't last long.

Shoes. [Jul. 28th, 2007|07:30 pm]
I decided to abandon the games, because it was getting kind of boring. I'm focusing on my shoes now. A while ago, I decided to lace my shoes up in the straight across method. When I did, I thought it was uncomfortable that the laces would be under the tongue of the shoe, so I just went back to the classic lacing style. Because I've got free time due to this Blogathon, I decided to lace them up straight across again. I haven't finished yet, but I did figure out a way to lace them up without having the laces go under the tongue. It looks pretty good, and maybe it will stop the tongue of my shoe from slipping and hurting my little toe on my left foot. I'm kind of wishing my grandma will turn the channel on the TV, because I'm tired of hearing about deranged, murderous, rapists who kidnap little girls in front of churches. And because she's got the TV blaring loud. I mean, really. It's loud enough for the neighbors to hear it. But, I guess it's not her fault, because she can't really hear well. When she can't hear well, she yells. I can't stand talking to her on the phone because she doesn't know how to use the volume button, so it's like she's screaming at you.

Bowling. [Jul. 28th, 2007|07:00 pm]
The game of bowling that me and another blogger participated in was extremely short. It took about five minutes, and for the rest of the time I just read crap on Wikipedia. Bowling was the first game I won today, and I've got one more to go (technically). The first two times we rolled, we both rolled strikes. On the third roll, she scored a spare, and I scored another strike. I ended up winning, with a score of 218, and she had a score of 188. There was a sneak peak at the golf course that we're going to be playing on, and I don't know if I'm going to be able to advance to the second round. I'm not too great at golf on the internet. Heck, I'm not too good at golf in real life! Still, these games are a great way to pass the time. I think that the game of golf will take a pretty long time.

Billiards [Jul. 28th, 2007|06:30 pm]
The first game was a two player round of pool with every blogger competing against another. We played until it was time to update again. I was drawn as the second player. At first, the guy who I was competing against was murdering me. He was beating me 12 to 3. Later on in the game, I caught up to him, and took the lead. The last time I had the lead was when I had 16, and he had 15. The half-hour was about to come up, and he had to finish his turn. He eventually beat me, 17 to 16. The next game that's going to take place is a two player game of bowling, and then two rounds of mini-golf. Mini-golf will be a tournament that starts out with 4 players, and then the second round the losing two players will be removed. During the last round of golf, if two players aren't playing mini-golf, they will be facing each other in either pool or bowling. So, I lost my first game. Let's see how I do in bowling.
